Leading Our Futures Youth Gathering

Mitaanjigamiing First Nation invites youth of all ages (0–30) to take part in the Leading Our Futures Youth Gathering on January 30 & 31, 2026, at The Rendezvous. This two-day gathering runs from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily and brings together culture, learning, creativity, and connection. Youth will participate in hands-on sessions coordinated by community leaders, including Childcare Law Development with Danielle Morrison, Language Teachings with Roy Tom, Birch Bark Making with Alyssa Lentz, and Tobacco Bag Making with Shyla Hourie.

The gathering also features an evening dance on January 30 from 5:00–8:00 PM with a DJ and Penny Table, $3,500 in prizes, daily $500 door prizes, and SWAG for participants.
